Many families are experiencing uncharted territory as schools and workplaces close, and as news updates related to COVID-19 are being released at an alarming rate. As such, families may experience elevated levels of anxiety and have questions. We believe it is our role to share resources and share experiences to help families through this time.

Question 2: The dynamic nature of the COVID-19 pandemic can create anxiety among all people, but particularly among children. What are best practices in supporting children through uncertainty and possibly trauma resulting from this outbreak?

The goal of #GenesisPlayCafe is to stimulate curiosity and innovative thinking about some of the most pressing topics in pediatric health. Each month, we will develop questions around a topic, pose them on our blog for you to consider, and we will meet on the last Tuesday of the month at 3 PM Central Time to chat about our responses.
