Genesis partnered with a nationally ranked West Coast pediatric health system to support a multidisciplinary leadership team through the final stages of strategic planning for a $100m investment in a multi-site, community-based primary care health home serving underserved urban communities of color.
Genesis assessed all factors of success, from individual readiness and capacity for change to process management and system infrastructure. We identified key risks and opportunities with front-line and executive leaders and documented actionable, measurable recommendations and performance indicators.
This approach improved the change experience for system leaders, as well as the overall success and sustainability of their investment.
One of the most consistent challenges our clients face is supporting employees through major changes in their daily work. Change is stressful, regardless of a person’s title, experiences, or belief in the change to come. One of the most important decisions leaders can make is to invest in change management support when tackling significant strategic and operational initiatives.
“[Genesis] met the goal of striking the balance to be “dispassionate and fair,” and that is not easy in a project like this. You accurately identified a number of the key team dynamics that have created headwinds in moving the project forward, called them out directly but without blame, and made some practical suggestions as to how to improve the communication and decision-making process.” – EVP, Children’s Health System
